No office is complete without water coolers. I went to work for company about a year ago and everything was fine at first. It was one of those typical modern office jobs. You know the kind where you sit in your cubicle, do your work, and keep to yourself. Of course it was not a very exciting job but that was okay, I have no big need for excitement. All I wanted was a job that allowed me to work a good solid eight hours and day five days a week and make enough money to pay the bills with a little bit left over. All of those things were true of this job am I talking about and yet I still did not stay at it for very long. After a couple of weeks I began to feel very isolated at work and I could not understand why since I am such a social person. Upon further consideration I figured out what the problem was, the office had no water coolers and hence there was no good excuse to spend time socializing with my co-workers. So if you run an office and you want to keep good employees make sure you provide them with the simple yet necessary pleasures of a water cooler.
