Case Study: Samsung LED Sheep #1 Viral Video !

(9)

Counting sheep before you go to sleep is so last century. In the 21st century we use sheep as live LED screens for viral videos. No kidding. Check out how much buzz Samsung’s project created!

Brand: Samsung LED TV
Goal: promote product, spread the news that LED TVs are ecological
Solution: viral video

Sheep farmers from Wales probably couldn’t imagine that their beloved animals would become giant LED screens and achieve such cult status! Sheep were herded back and forth, up and down and all over their hillside pasture to enact a giant game of pong, recreate Leonardo ‘Baa’ Vinci’s Mona Lisa painting, and an impressive fireworks display. Of course, for our viewing pleasure, the Sheep LED TV was filmed and put on Youtube and other video sharing websites!

Results:

The video is a HUGE success online:
- LED sheep became the #1 viral video last month
- More than 6.6 million views on Youtube in a month
- More than 2700 re-posts on blogs

But does it help Samsung to increase their sales? Well, Samsung isn’t in the habit of sharing their sales reports: but according to LED magazine, LEDs this year are expected to enjoy almost a 3% revenue increase. No need to guess, which LED TV brand customers will remember first.

Food for thought

1. Launching an innovative product like an LED TV? Be innovative with your marketing! Communicate your product’s USP not only through your marketing message – but also the format in which you send out that message. Samsung wanted to say: “Hey, our TVs are eco-friendly”, so this is why they made a giant eco-friendly LED screen out of sheep. What could better prove their message of innovation than ad that has never been done before!

2. Viral videos are still a big thing. Just do it right and be crazy. Need more proof? Scroll down to the Cadbury case study. ;)

Usually, university ***** are willing to testify the term paper writing technique of some their students, but not all good students are able to write professionally because of lack of writing skills and other stuff. Thus, a essay writing service will help to compose the term paper essays professionally.
